The Facilities - Clubhouse
The clubhouse was built in 1936 in classic Art Deco style. Whilst it has been extended and modernised over the years, the clubhouse still retains its original character and offers a warm welcome - as well as a number of facilities - for members and visitors.
One of the best features of the clubhouse is the dedicated 2 table snooker room. Here you can spend some time between your rounds or before your meal. If it rains this can be a real pleasure and source of comfort.
In the main building, we have two big rooms. The larger of the two is where formal meals can be eaten and where deep leather chairs beckon the tired golfer.
In the other rather less formal room, we have tables and chairs where competing friends gather to decide who owes what to who and where snacks can be eaten with your glass of preferred sustenance.
At the front of the club house as you approach from the car park, you will find the first tee to your left and the entrance to the men's changing room, with the Pro Shop on your right
Go past the Pro shop and men's changing entrance and around the front of the club house to reach the formal entrance. Go a little further and you come to the entrance to the ladies changing area and lounge.
Unfortunately, like so many clubs today, we have to be cautious and security minded. Therefore as a visitor, you will need to know the code for the keypad. Societies and visitors can ask the secretary for this information before the visit, or ask in the Pro shop as you pass by.
