New Head Professional

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Whitby-Smith as Head Professional at Drayton Park Golf Club.

Dan started his golfing journey at Drayton Park as a junior before leaving at the age of 16 to join Whittington Heath Golf Club, where he has spent the last 9 years working at the club.

Becoming a fully qualified PGA Professional in 2017. Dan has picked up a vast number of playing accolades along the way. These include over 40 professional wins worldwide and being the first ever player to win all 4 Staffordshire major titles in 2018.

The next chapter of Dan’s career will see him manage and operate Drayton Park’s Professional Shop which will provide expert customer service, lessons, custom fitting and retail.

The Professional Shop will offer a comprehensive choice of carefully selected leading brands. Service is of the upmost importance and fully trained staff will be on hand at all times to offer advice and support. The latest equipment will be available for trial and a full custom fitting service will be available using TrackMan launch monitor technology.

Dan and his team will also be on hand to deal with all of your golfing needs. Dan’s wealth of knowledge and respect in the industry fills us with confidence in providing our members and visitors the best possible experience at Drayton Park Golf Club.

Dan will join us from 1st March, spending time around the club to understand our current processes and get himself a step ahead of taking over the shop from Union Golf on April 1st. All members have until 31st March to spend their shop accounts with Union Golf.

We wish Dan all the best and trust the membership will share our excitement in welcoming him back to Drayton as we continue to make progress in 2020 and beyond.
