Ladies Day Ascot charity event

On the 20th June 80 ladies attended a ‘Ladies Day at Ascot’ charity event here at Drayton Park Golf Club. All the ladies arrived looking resplendent adorned in their beautiful dresses, hats and fascinators.

The bookie was kept extremely busy with most ladies having at least a place or a win during the afternoon, some doing even better!

The catering staff did us proud with a delightful afternoon tea as the prosecco was ‘popping’ all around!!

Thanks go to our Lady Captain, Jan Stevens, who organised the event along with a small group of helpers, Judith Squires, Inga Adlington and Val Scaldwell.  And to Steve Owen who kindly gave up his time to be MC for the day and to his wife Rita who brought along a large group of friends.

£700 was raised for our Captains’ Charity, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, thank you to all attending.
