Junior Golf lessons at Drayton Park Golf Club are run throughout the year consisting of 6-week terms with 2-week breaks in between. The sessions are one hour in length and take place on Saturday mornings starting from 9AM. Each session will have games and competitions from which prizes are given at the end of each term for the best performer and most improved.
Coaching is run by our full-time professional Simon Dainter. Juniors will be given the appropriate tuition in order to help them reach a standard where they can transition to small, on course, competitions, guided by the competitive junior team who will be available for help and guidance. From there, Juniors will be at a standard to join as a member of the golf club and can progress to the next stage of their golf game with continuing support.
Using the Golf Foundation's 'Junior Golf Passport' each session combines instruction, practice, and skills testing whilst maintaining a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The player's progression through the colour code programme will not be time-limited in order to allow them to develop at their own pace.
The Junior Golf Passport is the national structured learning programme for children aged 6-12 years, endorsed by the PGA. The multi-layered programme progresses a complete novice golfer into a junior golfer ready for membership at a golf club.
The programme has 3 key levels: START, LEARN and PLAY. The START level is all about fun and an elementary introduction to golf. The LEARN level is a move towards technical instruction through games-based learning, always with an emphasis on fun. The PLAY level teaches the child to apply their learning to the golf course, preparing them for potential club membership and competition. However, access to the golf course and playing golf on a course are important features of the Junior Golf Passport from the START in order to develop a real connection to golf.
SO COME AND JOIN IN THE FUN - START, LEARN, PLAY!

Here at Drayton Park Golf Academy, we've invested in the best launch monitor available; TrackMan 4.
The first of the TrackMan radar systems tracks everything the club does before, during, and after impact - from commonly known parameters like Club Path and Face Angle to Swing Direction and Spin Loft.
The other radar system tracks the full ball flight - from launch to landing and everything in between; including Launch Angle, Spin Rate and curvature.
This means that we can offer unrivalled fitting and lesson sessions with all the data required to be able to give the best advice on how to improve your game.
