Senior Captain's Day 2024

Monday morning started with some very welcome warm sunshine, which fortunately hung around most of the day to help make the event so enjoyable.

It was brilliant seeing so many seniors support the day, apart from many familiar friends,  I met a few seniors members who play early, that I've not met before. (As everyone knows I'm not the earliest of early birds!!) making it even more worthwhile.

Our Director of Golf, Bob Lander, kept us entertained by accidentally leaving his trolley on, which was half way across the putting green before anyone realized. Never knew Bob could move so quick!!

Big thanks go to Beccy and Shirley in catering for arranging all the food for the buffet which was really enjoyed by all. (It was tough trying not to dip in myself being around all that food all day!!).

Biggest of thanks though go to Jean, serving drinks, helping with the food and of course her photography skills were invaluable.... even leaving heads and feet on the photos!

Congratulations to our Senior Captains Day Stableford Competition winners.

Div 1. Graham Day with a magnificent 41 points.

Div 2. Rex Clarke with 38 points.

And finally, I must mention Course manager Dale and the team who even after a really busy Captains week, prepared the course and greens to a high standard.
